Singing is something humans from all walks of life have been doing since the beginning of time. It’s part of who we are. It’s one of the most primitive forms of communication used for celebration, worship, and expression. Singing doesn’t have to be difficult.
Over the past two decades of vocal coaching, performing, and recording professionally, I’ve learned how to develop a mindful and holistic approach to singing that allows me to comfortably access the fullest potential of my vocal capabilities when needed. Vocal technique and exercises such as scales are important, but what is more important is our physical and mental approach before singing the first note.
After forming new healthy habits and a holistic mindset towards singing, most of our singing difficulties can be solved. You’ll find with this approach to singing that technique is actually the easy and fun part.
